NOURISH Mind + Body Nutrition is all about flexibility. Life takes us along different paths and on different journeys each and every day. Our consultations together will reflect this, so whatever you would like to discuss or address on the day will be our priority, with a little guidance from me so that I can help you to explore your truth.
Using a non-diet, gentle nutrition, and Health at Every Size (R) framework, we will holistically work on addressing any physical symptoms you may have, while exploring any underlying emotional issues and energetic blocks to achieving optimal harmony. Oftentimes, healing comes from exploring emotional and psychological barriers to positive body image and body acceptance, while embracing the wisdom of our eating challenges such as binge eating or emotional eating. By using intuitive eating and mindful eating approaches, unwanted eating behaviours and symptoms can be explored, understood and seen as our Soul’s voice speaking to us in the most powerful way. From here, we can truly grow, evolve, and thrive.

Your safe space and time to be heard.
During an initial consultation my aim is to hear your STORY… your life is a beautiful narrative, and during this consultation we will explore your story. I will take a full health history , and you will have time to talk to me about your symptoms, challenges and hopes for our time together. There is no judgement and no pressure – just a safe space for you to be open and honest. Coaching is a very gentle, practical approach, where all treatments are negotiated and I am simply your guide. You can expect to have some homework activities to do which will expand on our session together, and you may be asked to do some personal exploration through journalling or writing. You are free to share as little or as much as you feel comfortable – this is your time and we will go at your pace. This time is for you and about you – I am not here to tell you what to do, what to eat, what to avoid – I am here to empower you and support you in regaining your body trust and wisdom.

Subsequent consultations allow us to work together to determine the strategies that have been useful since the previous consultation, and what we might need to change or add to keep moving forward. Any new and emerging issues will also be discussed and integrated into your healing journey.

Flower Essence Consultations
Australian Bush Flower Essences provide an additional layer of support during your healing journey by addressing the important emotional aspect of our health. Flower essences may form an integral part of your healing if relevant, but flower essence consultations can also be used individually to focus on any emotions and feelings which may need to be embraced and then set free. The consultation will focus on developing a custom flower essence blend (oral drops and/or space mist) which will be made specifically for you and your emotional needs.

Eating Psychology Coaching
Eating psychology is an emerging field in both nutritional and mental health. For far too long, we’ve been inundated by negative messages about food, weight and diet. We’ve been told that we’re willpower weaklings or that we need more control. The majority of nutrition experts promote conflicting advice. The result is that people are confused about what to eat, and how to have a happy relationship with food and a healthy metabolism. In my professional practice, I combine many of the best strategies from nutrition science and eating psychology. By eliminating all the “shoulds and shouldn’ts”, I focus on what’s right for your body and your personal style. As we work together in this way, eating and health issues become a place of exploration. Instead of seeing such challenges as the enemy, they become opportunities for growth and self-improvement. Through combining both nutrition and psychology, I will help you reach your highest goals not by strategies that punish, but through strategies that nourish.

Simply put, what we eat is only half of the story of good nutrition. The other half is who we are as eaters. It sees our challenges with eating and health not as an indication that we’re broken, but as a beautiful opportunity to grow and evolve. Previously, eating psychology has been limited to those with clinical eating disorders. Dynamic Eating Psychology though, is for everyone. It affirms that our relationship with food has important lessons to teach us if we choose to listen. And it recognises that our challenges with eating and health are intimately connected to other primary life dimensions – relationship, family, work, sexuality, our search for meaning and fulfillment, and so much more.
